Giving Opportunities

A city's success depends on engaged, enlightened leadership.

Leave your leadership legacy, invest in our tradition
and Louisville's future.

For nearly 30 years, the Leadership Louisville Center has been the essential credential for individuals and companies committed to building a successful community.  The results speak for themselves.  Leadership Louisville Center graduates have:

  • filled more than 5,000 volunteer board  positions
  • donated more than $8 million to local charities
  • contributed countless hours of pro bono community
service to nonprofit and civic boards
  •

The Leadership Louisville Center relies on your support to successfully sustain our current activities, to assure that a truly diverse network of leaders will be prepared to guide Louisville’s future and to help develop new programs that respond to the community’s changing needs.

Your tax deductible contribution to the Leadership Louisville Center, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization, will identify you as a leader who cares about Louisville's future. Please consider a contribution to one of the funds below:

    Human Venture Capital Fund

Recognizing the need to develop new leadership programs and activities, the Board of the Leadership Louisville Center has created a $1 million Human Venture Capital Fund. Much like a traditional seed-stage venture capital fund, this new pool of money provides the early stage support to develop prototypes, and, if viable, deploy the innovative new leadership activities required by today’s rising civic leaders.

The $1 million is not an endowment; it is an investment pool intended to be used to seed new leadership ventures over the next five to eight years.

Always the visionary, David Jones, who was among the Leadership Louisville Center’s founders in 1979, immediately recognized the need for the Human Venture Capital Fund and responded by posting a challenge grant toward the $1 million goal.

    Wilson Wyatt Scholarship Fund

Created in honor of the Leadership Louisville Center’s founding Board Chair, the Wilson Wyatt fund has been providing the financial support for scholarships that have assured diversity in all Leadership Louisville Center programs.

This fund continues Wyatt's legacy. Among his many philanthropic gifts to our community were significant contributions to scholarships for high school students in Jefferson County Public Schools.

    Joan Riehm Women's Leadership Fund

This fund honors Joan Reihm's energy, optimism and passion for our community throughout her career. Joan was a member of the first Leadership Louisville class in 1979, and continued to be a force for positive change in Louisville and the state of Kentucky. This fund was created to enable more of today's young women to follow in Joan's footsteps. Read more about Joan Riehm.

The seed money for this fund was donated by Deloitte, BB&T and Anthem as part of the 100 Wise Women breakfast series Leadership Louisville created with Today's Woman magazine. Emerging women leaders have the opportunity to meet and learn from the success stories of women such as Joan.

Contributions and sponsorships of this program help young women attend Leadership Louisville Center programs.
